Cilantroed Haricots Verts


Frozen Green Beans (Cringe husband, cringe)

Chopped White Onion (Not red, cringe again)

Chopped Fresh Cilantro

Ginger Garlic Paste (Store bought)

Cumin Seeds

Black Pepper Powder

Turmeric Powder


Chilli Powder

Kitchen King Masala

Salt (D-uh)


Saute cumin seeds and black pepper until the cumin splutter. Add some asafoetida and then add the chopped onions. Once the onions are semi-soft, add turmeric powder and some salt. Saute some more. Once the onions turn transparent, add the chopped cilantro, more salt, and kitchen king masala (at this point I fought the urge to add some mint chutney). Mix well and let the cilantro cook a little. Now, add the frozen green beans and some water. Cover and cook until half done. Take off the lid and cook until the beans are as done as you want them to be. Enjoy with rice 😀
